That is a pretty deep question. I have definitely seen publications here that credit VISTA's for their hard work, but those are few and far between. I personally think we should have golden statue's made in our likeness placed prominently in front of the organizations we work for. Hmmmm, maybe a gold plated statue and with the money saved on gold we can add our Executive Directors bowing down to us (no gold plating there) because we saved them the trouble of hiring new employees while still enabling them to create new programs and get a crap load of work done...I really hope you guys are getting the sarcasm here. But seriously…there are probably a whole lot of VISTA’s who do great work for programs who get no credit in the end and that’s lame.

I completely agree. Doing all this work and no credit at all is pretty lame. It really bugs me that with all this work we do, there may be no follow up with it. Over the last 6 months, I have worked so hard and there may be no one to follow up with it. I almost makes me think and feel like this whole year is going to be pointless if it is all going to die and go away once I go away. What will happen to all of this work if a VISTA isn't going to follow up with it and work on it?
